1000 Broadway welcomes Northwest Children's Theater & School

After several years of extensively searching the market for a new place to call home, we are excited to share Northwest Children’s Theater and School has found a unique home in the former cinema space at the 1000 Broadway Building in downtown Portland.

As one of the largest theatre schools on the west coast providing quality theatre arts education and experiences to families, this new location in the Theater District is ideal for the school’s continued growth and expanding programs. The group negotiated a 30-year market-rate lease and is represented by NAI Elliott’s Broker and Director, Matt Bassist. He shared his thoughts on the recent news, “Beyond the benefit of a new tenant leasing a long-vacant space, Northwest Children Theater and School’s commitment to downtown Portland is great news for our city and brings a new vitality to the 1000 Broadway Building.”

Their new location touts a number of features, including a spacious 240-seat theatre, a 190-seat cinema suited for birthday parties and sing-alongs as well as an attached parking garage and additional rooms for classes and rehearsals. You can look forward to the official move coming in January of 2023.
