GlobeSt. Women of Influence 2021 Woman to Watch: Leanne Menashe

Leanne Menashe has been a valued employee at NAI Elliott for over thirty years. She joined as a shopping center manager and the fifth employee of the company in 1990. As the company grew Leanne has assumed more responsibility for our most important clients and eventually for leadership of the entire management department. In a historically male-dominated industry, Leanne excels both as a mentor and as an effective spokesperson and leader in the commercial property management industry, especially shopping centers, in Oregon and beyond. Leanne’s personal involvement in the professional growth of her “direct reports” as well as the women in other departments has been a key element in the success of the company.

Throughout the past year, Leanne has been invaluable in the company’s successes with rent collections, tenant relations, trouble-shooting property issues and client satisfaction. She has been a leader in compassionate communication to tenants and clients during this time and in rising above the turmoil to provide answers. Leanne encouraged our property management teams to stay proactive and involved as they navigated unknown terrains. As a member of our executive committee, she helped lead the company through changes and adaptations including acceleration of e-commerce functions and moving away from paper-based systems for more effective remote work.

Chief of Staff Ash Mitchell sees Leanne as a fierce personality that empowers the people around her to do their best. She’s not afraid to give people a push in the right direction. With 30 years in the commercial real estate industry, she is so deserving of this recognition.

Leanne is a pillar at NAI Elliott. Jolene Edwards, Assistant Real Estate Manager, appreciates her strong leadership, fairness and thoughtfulness in all that she does. Jolene aspires to bring those traits to her own work in real estate management.

Julie Fuhrman, Real Estate Manager and fellow award winner, sees Leanne as her go-to for problem solving any circumstance she might encounter. Working with Leanne has given Julie the confidence she needs to do her best work for clients and tenants because she has everyone’s back and she wants them to succeed.

Mike Larkin Asset Manger, has worked alongside Leanne for 18 years. Throughout that time, Leanne has been a mentor, sitting alongside team members to go through processes. She is also an incredible resource for everyone at NAI Elliott. She retains all her experiences over her career and happily shares them. Leanne is never afraid to step in when challenges arise and encourage her team to do the right thing, and do it well.

Rawley Winstead, Real Estate Manager, see the tremendous value of Leanne’s depth of experience in the industry to all the NAI Elliott Real Estate Mangers. When Rawley’s team comes across a situation that they may be unfamiliar with, Leanne is able to guide them towards a solution.

We are so pleased that Leanne has been recognized as a Women of Influence by GlobeSt. magazine. Jordan Elliott, President, sees this as a fitting tribute because Leanne has had such a huge influence on NAI Elliott over the last 30 years. She in instrumental to who we are and how we continue to do good work every day at the company.
